The mission of Cayce United Methodist Church is to change lives and transform communities for Christ.
Our mission statement is clearly our map into the world. It did not originate by those traveling through the doors of Cayce UMC but was given to us by Jesus himself.
Matthew 28: 19-20 “Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey everything that I’ve commanded you. Look, I myself will be with you every day until the end of the present age.”Therefore, our map is well constructed with spiritual roads for everyone.
Road of Care
We have a long tradition of giving of our time, prayers and support to one another, and local and foreign missions. This history of caring is our hospitable road and anchors our bridge to tomorrow. A Cayce UMC leader witnesses: “….Cayce UMC’s membership and love brought me back from 15 years away from the UMC and God. ….. you brought me back and changed my life …. that is good.”
Road of Discipleship
Cayce UMC is blessed with a family of members who enjoy finding the hands of our brothers and leading them down a new spiritual path. We combine our century-old experiences, evolving challenges and God-directed visions to develop ministries and missions that open a gateway to meet changing needs of individuals and the wider community.
Road to the Future
Spiritual education, ministries and missions are routes on our map that are routinely traveled. Youth may be feeding the hungry at Finley Park. Children enjoy a fun, spiritually arousing week at Vacation Bible School. Adults pack weekend meals for children at local schools. Excited little ones look for glow-in-the dark Easter eggs. Our dedication to Cayce Kids leads our journey to the future and community transformations.
Cayce UMC is a body of believers who are caring, generous, and committed to growing in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. God himself, through His Word, has designed our course and calls us to travel every boulevard, lane, road, artery and side street for the purpose of changing lives and transforming communities.
